DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION warrantees the "Daewoo Personal Computer System" and Daytek monitors to the original purchaser, in Canada only, that the hardware is furnished against all defects in materials and workmanship for one(1) year (PC) / three(3) years (monitor) from the date of invoice. This warrantee only applies when purchased from an authorized DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION dealer, an authorized value-added retailer, or an authorized DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION distributor.

The warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including: accident; abuse; misuse; act of god; problem with electrical power; servicing not authorized by DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION; usage not in accordance with product instructions; failure to perform required preventive maintenance and problems caused by use of parts and components not specified by DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION.

PC Systems (Limited One-Year Warranty [Canada Only])

The warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following categories:

  • software;
  • external devices (except as specifically noted);
  • accessories or parts added to DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION system after the system is shipped from DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION;
  • accessories or parts added to a DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION system through authorized DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION service center;
  • accessories or parts that are not installed in the DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION factory.

DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION will repair or replace products covered under this limited warranty. To request warranty service you must, within the warranty period, call DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION's Customer Technical Support, the telephone number provided to you by DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION. Please keep your original receipt to prove your purchase.

If warranty service is required, DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION or its service center will issue a Return Material Authorization Number. You must ship the products back to DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION or the authorized service center with original receipt. Before you send the products back to DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION or the authorized service center, please make a copy of original receipt for future reference. Customers who fail to ship systems with original receipt will be void for service. Also you must ship the products back to DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION or the authorized service center in their original packaging. Customers who fail to ship systems in their original or equivalent packaging will be responsible for risk of loss or damage during shipment.

If it is found that non-Daytek options added to the system is the cause of the reported problem, a service charge may be applied which may include shipping charges. Please remember that DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION reserves the right to send a whole replacement for the system or a replacement for portions of the system rather than repairing and returning the system that was sent for repair.

Note: Before DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION repairs the product, it is your responsibility to back up the data and software on the hard-disk drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s) and to remove media, such as diskettes, CDs, or PC Cards. It is also your responsibility to reload data and software. DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION is not responsible for lost data or software and is not required to advise or remind you of appropriate backup, security or other procedures.

DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION will not be liable for lost profits, loss of business or other loss or damage relating in any way to products or services, whether direct or consequential, special, indirect or punitive, even if advised or possibility of such losses or damages, or for any claim by any third party.
DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION owns all parts removed from repaired products. DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION uses new parts made by various manufactures in performing warranty repairs. If DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION repairs or replaces a product, its warranty term is not extended. The provisions of this apply to DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION's limited one (1) year warranty only. DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION reserves the right to amend any of its terms and conditions relating to warranties or service or its products at any time without prior notice.

THERE IS NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTEES OR CONDITIONS BEYOND THOSE EXPRESSLY STATED IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. SOME RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS APPLY.

 

Monitors (CRT/LCD Monitors : Limited Three-Years Warranty, PDP Monitor : Limited One-Year Warranty)

Defective within the first 30 days of purchase (CRT/LCD Monitors Only)

Daytek Electronics Corp. provides for the customer to receive a new product as replacement for the defective monitor within the first 30 days of purchase provided that the product is considered "current" and units are available.

Defective after the 30 days of purchase (CRT/LCD Monitors Only)

For a defective unit after the first 30 days of purchase, the customer is required to contact Daytek Electronics directly at 1-877-329-8351. The customer has two options available at your choice.

1. Replacement Service

The customer is responsible to ship the defective monitor back to Daytek Electronics Corp.. Once we receive the defective unit, we will send a replacement unit (subject to availability) to the customer. No credit card required.

2. Local Service Centres

One of the Daytek's local service centres is more than happy to provide the warranty service for customers. Please contact the local service centre near you. To check the Location, please click here.

Daytek Electronics Corp. warrants, to the original purchaser, the hardware and the media on which the software is furnished against all defects in materials and workship for three (3) years from the date of purchase from an Authorized Daytek Electronics Corp. dealer, value-added retailer or a distributor. This under the limited warranty may not be further assigned. Daytek Electronics' obligation under the limited Warranty is limited solely to repairing or replacing, at Daytek Electronics' option, any defective machines or parts. Daytek Electronics Corp. does not warrant that the functions contained in the software will meet your requirements or that the operation of the programs will be error-free.

This limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied. In such cases as Daytek Electronics Corp. cannot limit or exclude the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, such implied warranties shall apply for the period of this limited warranty (three (3) years from date of purchase). In no event will Daytek Electronics Corp. be liable for any lost profits or other consequential damages even if Daytek Electronics Corp. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

LCD Monitors - 3 years Limited Warranty

LCD monitor is furnished against all defects in materials and workmanship for three (3) years from the date of invoice issued by an authorized Daewoo International dealer, an Authorized value-added retailer or an Authorized distributor (Panel is limited to one (1) year only).

The presence of the blind pixels will not affect the quality of the display, nor will it affect the lifetime of the LCD panel. Blind pixel is defined as pixel either in black, red, green or blue color. The acceptance criteria for LCD panel monitor will be no more than 6 blind pixels in the LCD panel.

PDP Monitor - 1 year Limited Warranty

PDP monitor is furnished against all defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from date of purchase from an authorized DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION dealer, an Authorized value-added retailer or an Authorized DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION distributor. The acceptance criteria for PDP panel monitor will be no more than 3 blind pixels in the PDP panel.

Consumer Electronics Product (Limited One-Year Warranty)

All models of DVD Players/Recorders, Home Theater Systems, LCD TVs and Plasma TVs are furnished against all defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from date of purchase from an authorized DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION dealer, an Authorized value-added retailer or an Authorized DAYTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATION distributor.

For all Consumer Electronics products, user pays both ways shipping charge to/from the service center. For panel TV, user pays 1 way shipping charge. Daytek pays return-to-user shipping charge. User can also drop off to any of our service center.

The warranty for P871 is One (1) year. Please be advised that some warranty cards show Three (3) years mistakenly.
